Have a Question for the Bargaining Team?
How does Collective Bargaining work?
Every contract has a term. As the end of the contract approaches, CORFA's bargaining committee will ask for your input on what needs to change in the agreement.

The bargaining committee will begin negotiations with the employer. You won't get verbatim reports of what happens at the bargaining table but you will get updates on progress.

When CORFA and COTR reach a tentive agreement, members are asked to vote on whether to accept (ratify) the agreement or reject it. If the parties can't agree, you may be asked to participate in a strike vote.
Did you know?
Over 98% of all contract negotiatoins in Canada are settled without a strike. Strikes only happen when there are no other options left.
