Why: National Day of Remembrance and Human Rights Day.
Did you know that on December 6, 1989, 14 women were gunned down in an antifeminist mass shooting at Montreal’s École Polytechnique. Known as the Montreal Massacre we commemorate this day as the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
Join Avery Hulbert on December 5 to learn more. And with Human Rights Day coming up on December 10, Avery will additionally discuss how gender-based violence is also a human rights issue.
