The College of the Rockies Faculty Association (CORFA) is the sole bargaining agent for the faculty members of the College of the Rockies. Formed in 1976 under the name East Kootenay Community College Faculty Association (EKCCFA), we celebrated our 40th Anniversary in March, 2016. The College has campuses in Cranbrook, Creston, Fernie, Golden, Invermere and Kimberley BC.
CORFA’s role is to:
- Bargain a collective agreement on behalf of its members
- Respond to inquiries related to the terms of employment of its members
- File grievances on behalf of its members when their rights have been violated
- Keep its members informed about changes in working conditions, legislation, and government policy related to their employment
CORFA is a registered Trade Union. CORFA is a member of the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators of British Columbia, and is affiliated with the Canadian Labour Congress and the British Columbia Federation of Labour.
